Rick’s career in the automotive industry started in 2004 where he worked in sales at a KIA dealership. Rick sold 212 vehicles the first year, 304 the following year, and eventually topped off at 534 vehicles seven years later.
Rick used ProMax software alongside his own personal business plan to great success before moving into management.

Jennifer “Jenn” Reid is Vice President – Automotive Marketing & Strategy Leader – U.S. Information Solutions (USIS). With nearly two decades worth of experience in automotive on dealer, lender and information services sides, Reid is responsible for the development of Equifax’s automotive growth strategies, as well as overseeing specific marketing plans and initiatives. This includes understanding competitive automotive industry market dynamics and trends, key customer insights, new product innovations, and pricing and channel strategies.
Cody Huff began his career in the Automotive industry in 2001, and has held nearly every position within a dealership: Lot Porter, Parts Counter Person, Used Car Manager, among others. He is a graduate of FCA Dealer Academy and is currently Operations Director for Fred Martin Auto Group headquartered in Norton, Ohio (FMAG). FMAG is comprised of Fred Martin Superstore, Fred Martin Nissan, Hyundai of Louisville, Fred Martin Collision Center, Speedy Wash & Lube, and several small used car lots. During his tenure, Fred Martin Superstore, the Group's flagship location and a FCA franchise location, has been a "Top 25 FCA Dealer" in the country and a "Top 1,000 Used Car Dealer" for over ten years. Jared Kalfus serves as Black Book’s Executive Vice President of Revenue, where his responsibilities include oversight of the revenue producing sales verticals that are focused on licensing data to automotive OEM’s, auctions, value added resellers, dealer groups, captive finance companies and other automotive and consumer financial institutions throughout the US and Canada.
His responsibilities also include oversight of Black Book’s marketing initiatives and Subscription Services sales team who provide industry-leading vehicle valuation mobile and desktop solutions. Jared has spent his entire professional career in the automotive industry, holding a variety of management roles with leading companies including Manheim, Enterprise Rent a Car and CarsDirect.com.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and resides in Atlanta with his wife and son.
Laura Wehunt is the Vice President, Automotive Valuations at Black Book. In her role, she is responsible for leading the US automotive valuations team that has combined industry experience of over 150 years. Her team works closely with Data Science in our art-and-sciences approach to creating our data and solutions.
Laura started with Black Book in 2012 as a data analyst with a passion for the auto industry. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Applied Economics and Statistics from Clemson University and lives in northeast Georgia with her husband and daughter.
Dr. Alex Yurchenko leads Black Book’s analytics and data science team. His responsibilities include the development and support of all in-house machine learning algorithms, models and forecasting technics for analyzing trends in the automotive industry. Additionally, Alex leads custom analytics engagements with Black Book’s partners. His background includes college level teaching, research in pure mathematics, application of machine learning, modeling and forecasting to solve complex business problems.
In his previous roles, Alex was an Adjunct Professor teaching in a variety of colleges. After switching to the business world, he worked as a data scientist at one of the top advertising agencies. Alex holds a Doctorate’s degree in Mathematics from Georgia Institute of Technology. He resides in Atlanta with his wife and two daughters.
Starting in the car industry as a Sales Rep at Beaver County Dodge in 2001, Vince has held multiple positions at the retail store level including Business Manager, Used Car Manager and General Sales Manager. After leaving the dealership world in 2010, he took his knowledge of these positions and applied it to assisting car dealers on the digital vendor side including DMS solutions, lease subscription services, and currently ACV Auctions in the digital wholesale market. With a well rounded understanding on how car dealers operate on a day to day basis, he has created over 200 partners in the Pittsburgh Market through trust and relationship building techniques.
